Upcoming Auditions

Washington Ensemble Theatre is holding auditions for our Spring 2024 production of Scrambling the Goose A new show conceived by Amber Tanaka & the Ensemble.

Synopsis:

Inspired by the Neo-futurists in Chicago and New York, this groundbreaking production will feature a predetermined number of short plays performed in an order chosen by the audience. The result is that each show will be a unique performance experience, but all will showcase an all-star cast of multi-hyphenate talent. It’s both a world premier and the last time this show will ever be performed. This is truly theatre created by this community for this community, inviting audiences to participate in shaping the narrative and witnessing the magic of live performance in an entirely new way.

Note on Casting:

Since this is a devised theatre show we’re seeking artists who feel comfortable creating work collaboratively and performing in any capacity in front of a live audience. Artists with skills ranging from dance and movement, music and songwriting, drag and burlesque, to traditional theater backgrounds are encouraged to audition!

Amber Tanaka has been performing new works, old works, and works-in-progress around Seattle for the past 8 years or so.
