Our 19th Season wields the darker forces of nature to summon a spell of revolution, self discovery, and razor-sharp storytelling.
Washington Ensemble Theatre is back, bigger than ever (literally!), and beckons you to ground yourself in the immense strength of nature with their 19th season, “Take Root”. Spanning Winter/Spring 2023, the Ensemble has programmed a four show season including two full length plays, a fan favorite showcase of new works, and a weekend of locally curated dance. The rigor and magic in these stories reveal the raw, unrestrained power of standing firm in your beliefs and taking root into a world you are brave enough to create. Mid-season WET invites you to their annual gala this February; a celebration of growth still to come!
The ever mercurial Ensemble has taken various shapes and sizes over the past 19 seasons and this year we are presenting you the biggest ensemble yet! Pushing our numbers to 20 members, and the addition of our Affiliate Artists program, our rejuvenated and lively collective will bring you into the future of the company by taking root in our values, our community, and our magic in Season 19.
