The Nether

April 27 – May 14, 2018

By Jennifer Haley
Directed by Bobbin Ramsey
{Seattle Premiere}

What happens when you let your desire and darkest secrets run wild? Detective Morris must investigate and expose an interactive playground world where unforgivable sexual fantasies are enjoyed by men who feel they can’t live without them. Jennifer Haley’s unsettling play tackles both the seductive pull of the  morally ambiguous virtual world and the science fiction future of intimacy. It will have you squirming in your seats.

The Nether is not a play for everyone. It contains the use of strobe lights and very, very strong content including references to child sexual abuse, the existence of pedophilia, violence, depression, and suicide.

90 minutes with no intermission.
